Sample SOP. It shows the format and how the dashboard renders it. Replace it with the real merged version once the content sources are processed.

Outcome

Twenty hooks for one topic, each scored, with the five strongest ready to use as the first line of a reel or carousel.

Kit

  • Claude writes the hooks from the brief and the reference set.
  • Jev MCP scores every hook and picks the top five.
  • Apify pulls top posts in the niche for reference. Optional, pay per result.
  • Wispr Flow to dictate the brief quickly. Optional.

Stages

Stage 1: Brief (5 min)

  1. Open the brand note for the account in the vault.
  2. Write the brief: topic, audience, the one thing the viewer should feel or learn.
  3. Paste five hooks that worked before, from your own posts or from references.

Stage 2: Generate (10 min)

  1. Run Prompt 1 in Claude with the brief.
  2. Ask for a second round with Prompt 2 if fewer than 12 hooks pass a first read.

Stage 3: Score and pick (15 min)

  1. Send all hooks to Jev with Prompt 3.
  2. Keep the top five. Read each one out loud. Drop any that sound written rather than spoken.
  3. Save the five to the content calendar and the full list to the hook bank note.

Prompts

Prompt 1: Generate hooks

Use in: Stage 2, step 1. Tool: Claude.

Prompt
You write opening lines for short videos for [ACCOUNT], speaking to [AUDIENCE].
Topic: [TOPIC]. The viewer should leave knowing or feeling: [PAYOFF].
Here are hooks that worked before: [PAST_HOOKS].

Write 20 hooks. Rules:
- Under 12 words each, written to be said out loud.
- Mix these types: a bold claim, a specific number, a mistake to avoid, a question, a before-and-after.
- No hashtags, no emojis, no clickbait the video can't pay off.
Return a numbered list only.

Expected output: 20 short lines, varied in type, each one sayable in under three seconds.

Prompt 2: Second round

Use in: Stage 2, step 2. Tool: Claude.

Prompt
Of these hooks, these were weak: [WEAK_HOOKS]. They failed because [REASON].
Write 10 more that avoid that problem, keeping the same rules.

Prompt 3: Score

Use in: Stage 3, step 1. Tool: Jev (jev_score).

Prompt
Score each hook from 0 to 10 for: would [AUDIENCE] stop scrolling to hear the next line?
Penalize vague claims and anything the video cannot deliver.
Hooks: [HOOK_LIST]

QA checklist

  • Every hook is under 12 words
  • At least four different hook types in the top five
  • Each top hook can be paid off in the first 10 seconds of the video
  • Read aloud, none sound like a headline

Examples

Strong: "Three things venues get wrong about their first wedding inquiry."

Weak: "You won't believe what happens at this venue."

Watch-outs

  • Scores narrow the list. Posting results decide which hook types stay in this SOP.
  • References show the format. The words have to be your own.
